Blue color Mochi and blue color rice noodles are new products at Mochi Kobo.
Blue color Daifuku Mochi made by kneading butterfly pea into Mochi dough. Contrary to its novel appearance, the mochi is moist and soft, and is packed fully with red bean paste that has an elegant sweetness. There is also a reverse version. White beans paste mixed with butterfly pea to be a slight white-blue bean paste peeking out from the white Mochi!
Currently, “Koka Mochi Kobo” is developing various new products using natural coloring agent, butterfly pea. “Blue is said to be a color that brings happiness. Mochi has been an indispensable food on celebration day since ancient times. I think it goes well with it. I will be happy that blue products will be known as a new specialty of Koka Mochi. Mr. Kawai, the representative of the workshop, is also enthusiastic.
Around June 2021, blue color will appear in somen noodles made from rice flour! If you serve it on a parfait glass, it will look fun and the table will surely be gorgeous.
Blue color products such as blue color Mochi (flat Mochi) and rice flour Taiyaki with blue color bean paste are expected to be introduced and increased one after another.
